  • PRAIRIE RATTLESNAKE - Venomous snake known for their rattles that warn predators. These snakes are usually 3-4 feet in length and are active between April and October. Rattlers have a triangular head and a stout body. They can be found in the Western Great Plains, typically in elevations below 7,000 feet.
